Bettina Seitz is concerned with stylizing the human form in sculpture. Born in Germany she now works in Sligo and is considered an important Irish sculptor. Seitz uses a range of materials including white stone composite, aluminium and bronze. She is well known for her large scale work for both public spaces and private gardens. Her work is shown and collected internationally. Recent shows include Belgravia Gallery, London and Art House Project, Boston. Her commissioned work has included The Volta Award for the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival. Her sculptures are held in private collections in Ireland, UK, USA, Germany, Denmark, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, South Africa and Saudi Arabia.
